The Farm
Highmeadow Farm, formerly Maple Hill Farm, a dairy, then a fruit and vegetable farm, was built in 1795. Only five families have lived here since then, including us. In the 1950s, the dairy barn fell from disrepair and was not replaced until 2010, when we began construction of a smaller version, the barn/kennel/garage
Our Borzoi
Our Borzoi are first and foremost, beloved family members, and are treated as such. They get the very best care and feeding and are always treated with love and respect. In turn, they give us joy of life, every single day. To live with a Borzoi, or many of them, is a privilege
What We Do
Our commitment is to preserve the bloodline that was originally brought to this country by Joseph Thomas, namely the bloodlines of the Romanoff Borzoi from Russia. The bloodline has been preserved by Karen Staudt-Cartabona for over forty years, and our Borzoi are purposefully bred on her lines. For us, the bloodline is like no other, as it produces consistently loving temperaments and conformation according to the Borzoi breed standard,
